It’s an annual tradition. Jeff takes all of the kids camping for the week and I stay home alone and create. It’s a week I look forward to for many months. Yes, of course I miss my family, but we all come together at the end of equally wonderful adventures and spend the weekend sharing and rediscovering one another. It’s all good. (They will be home in about 2 hours!)
I tried my best to get as caught up as possible in my regular work (graphic design) so that my week is dedicated to non-commissioned work. Although I love designing and feel so blessed with a career that is incredibly fulfilling, I also enjoy creativity on a whim. That’s what this week was all about. I’ve been hording supplies, making sketches and notes all in preparation for this week. The final result of it all will be the Vintage Holiday Boutique in November.
So if you’re a client reading this who’s project was back-burnered, please know that I am returning from this week much more productive and enthused.
Naturally, I had to create my own logo! That’s me with my hand raised to God, thanking him for so many blessings in my life, and this week in particular- my family, my friends, our health, my talents, and his ever-redeeming grace.
I have many more ideas for different creations to whip up for the show, but for now, I hope you enjoy these photos.
